Gran Turismo 7

GT7 Setup Guide

1

GT7 broadcasts telemetry automatically over UDP - no in-game settings change is required. Just make sure your router is not blocking the required ports (covered in step 4).

2

Find your PlayStation's local IP: on your PS console go to Settings > Network > View Connection Status and note the IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.50).

3

Open Driver Apex Companion on your phone. Go to Settings and select GT7 (Gran Turismo 7) as the game. For the PlayStation IP, enter your PS's local IP (from step 2) - or leave it as 255.255.255.255 to use broadcast mode, which automatically finds your PlayStation on the local network without needing the exact IP.

4

Make sure both your PlayStation and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network. Your router must allow UDP on two ports: 33740 (telemetry from PS to app) and 33739 (heartbeat from app to PS - required to keep the stream alive).

5

Start a race in GT7. The Live Dashboard will immediately begin receiving telemetry. To see the track map, complete one full lap without cutting - the app auto-detects the layout from the position data. The track name is read automatically from the telemetry.

PlayStation 4 & 5

AC Setup Guide

1

In Assetto Corsa on your PlayStation, go to Settings > Remote Telemetry and make sure UDP telemetry is enabled. The app connects on port 9996 - ensure your router does not block it.

2

Find your PlayStation's local IP: on your PS console go to Settings > Network > View Connection Status and note the IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.50).

3

In Driver Apex Companion Settings, enter the PlayStation IP - or leave it as 255.255.255.255 to use broadcast mode (connects automatically). Select AC (Assetto Corsa) as the game.

4

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. The app performs an automatic handshake with the game on startup - if the handshake succeeds, telemetry begins immediately.

5

The track name is read automatically from the AC telemetry handshake - you do not need to enter it. Start a session, go out on track, and the Live Dashboard will show your data. Lap history is saved automatically at the end of each lap.

Troubleshooting

No telemetry is appearing on the dashboard

Verify both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. Check the game's telemetry sending is enabled. Try leaving the IP as 255.255.255.255 for automatic broadcast discovery. Make sure UDP ports are unblocked: 33740 + 33739 for GT7, 9996 for AC. On mesh networks, disable AP/client isolation in your router settings.

AI Coach analysis is not appearing after my lap

AI Coach is experimental and requires a ~770 MB on-device model. Go to Settings, set Analysis to AI Coach (Experimental), then tap Force Re-Initialization to download it. After a lap completes, analysis runs on-device - this can take from a few seconds to over a minute depending on your device. The insights appear in Lap History when done.

Track map is not showing / track not auto-detected

For GT7, auto-detection requires completing one complete full lap with valid telemetry - do not skip the start/finish line. For AC, the track name is received from the telemetry handshake automatically; no recording is needed. Ensure you are in an active session (not a replay) for the entire lap.

Telemetry drops or stops after a few seconds (GT7)

GT7 requires a heartbeat packet every second from the app (port 33739) to keep sending data. If your router blocks outbound UDP on port 33739, the stream will silently stop. Ensure both 33740 (inbound) and 33739 (outbound) are open.

Lap insights show wrong track or car name

In GT7, the car and track metadata comes from the telemetry packet sent by the console. This can occasionally show the previous session's car name if you switch cars mid-session. Finish the lap to trigger a refresh.

App restarts and all data is lost

All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. It should persist across app restarts. If data appears missing after an iOS update, check that Background App Refresh is not clearing app storage. Contact support if this persists.
